Types of Therapy and Personal Development Training and Coaching

The SHTC exists to register and support therapists and coaches working in the following areas:

  • Life Coaching
  • Personal Development Coaching
  • Lifestyle Coaching
  • Holistic Therapy
  • Holistic Healing
  • Holistic Coaching
  • Eclectic Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioural Training
  • Stress Innoculation Training
  • Stress Management Training (or consultancy)
  • Anger Management Training (or consultancy)
  • Personal Development Counselling
  • Teaching Therapy
  • Pastoral / Spiritual Coaching
  • Relaxation Coaching

Members offering the above must have a relevant qualification, either directly nationally accredited, or accredited by an approved awarding body.

Members must also commit to adhering to the NOS National Occupational Standards for any therapy or therapies offered.

Members must remain registered and insured.

If members offer additional therapies to those listed above, they must have appropriate registrations, insurance and qualification to cover these. Where this is the case, members must make it clear that these are not covered by SHTC membership.
